Bety Simón ilustradora

 

Hola mi nombre es Bety.

 

Soy ilustradora, administrativa, madre y un millón de cosas más.

Vivo en Barcelona, una preciosa ciudad de España pero soy ciudadana del mundo, mis orígenes son Chilenos con familia en muchos lugares de este planeta y me siento catalana como si hubiera nacido aquí.

Estudié  Ilustración en la Escuela Pau Gargallo. Ahora  dibujo todo lo que me permite la conciliación de mi pluriempleo. Me encantan los retratos y plasmando la realidad y apoyando a los más desfavorecidos. Creo que se ha de visibilizar al máximo todo aquello que nos pueda remover la conciencia. A la vez entiendo que mi mundo es de fantasía y me encanta crear personajes basados en mi imaginación. Disfruto jugando con diferentes técnicas, por lo que la mayoría de mis ilustraciones son de técnica mixta. Rotuladores punta fina, acuarelas, gouache e introduzco la tecnología para componer, complementar e incluso dibujar con mi nueva tableta gráfica.

 

Cuando no dibujo, cantar es mi otra pasión, @Gospel Soul es mi coro.

Hi, my name is Betty.

​

I'm an illustrator, a administrative a mother and a million other things. 
I live in Barcelona, a beautiful city in Spain but I am a global citizen, my origins are Chilean with family in many places on this planet and I feel Catalan as if I was born here.

I studied illustration at the Pau Gargallo School. Now I draw everything that allows me to conciliate my multi-employment. I love portraits and capturing reality and supporting the most disadvantaged. I believe that everything that can remove our conscience must be made visible to the maximum. At the same time I understand that my world is one of fantasy and I love to create characters based on my imagination. I enjoy playing with different techniques, so most of my illustrations are of mixed technique. Fine point pens, watercolors, gouache and I introduce the technology to compose, complement and actually draw with my new graphic tablet.

When I'm not drawing, singing is my other passion, @Gospel Soul is my chorus.
